Training and Development Manager

Membership Body

Mixture of Central London Office and Home Based

Basic Salary £42,000 Pro Rata plus 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

Full Time, Initial 6 Month Contract
Start Date Mid August 2021


An excellent opportunity for a Training and Development Manager to join a thriving and highly respected Chartered Membership Body. The role will be a mixture of office and home based. It is an initial fixed term contract of 6 Months.


The Role


This customer facing role has primary responsibility for developing and managing the membership body’s Training portfolio to ensure that the membership body remains the pre-eminent trainer in insight, research and analytics; managing the customer base to maximise its potential.

Ensuring the membership body Training programme evolves to meet the needs of Members, Company Partners and buyers of the membership body’s Training portfolio achieving its full potential in terms of coverage and income generation.

Developing, managing and maintaining the range of client and supplier relationships necessary to ensure effective delivery of the training programmes.

Effectively managing the administrative and operational processes in support of the full range of the membership body’s Training portfolio.

Management of the Training/Events Co-Ordinator  

It requires an organised and experienced training professional with a some years of experience in training management to run our 80 open courses per year including. This role works also closely with Business Development Team to design programmes for big brand employers.

The Person


Educated to degree level or equivalent

Experienced in organising and managing profitable training and development portfolios

Experienced in a range of blended learning and training approaches including face to face, online, webinars and bespoke training

Experienced in developing training programmes across a range of learning and training approaches

Strong verbal and written skills including copy writing

Excellent administrative and digital skills

Excellent interpersonal skills to enable the post holder to create and maintain appropriate relationships with a wide range of clients and suppliers

Ability to prioritise tasks and workload effectively and appropriately

Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively

Proactive and creative

Flexible working practices reflecting the demands of the role

Cheerful under pressure and a good team player
