Our client a well-respected and reputable professional body is currently looking for a Senior Education Officer.

The Role

To manage and ensure the provision of an accurate and responsive service to students both personally and through the management and development of assigned support staff. To enhance the overall effectiveness of the Education Team and hence the institute by contributing ideas and support.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Secretary to institute Examination Steering Group, including arranging meetings, taking minutes, circulating papers, supporting the chair.

To plan, set customer service standards, develop and manage all processes in relation to the Joint Programme and student registrations and any other assigned exam work streams.

To develop and maintain working relationships with other institutes for the purpose of delivering joint examination programmes to shared and agreed standards. 

To ensure the Joint Programme website pages are up-to-date, relevant and accurate as befitting the status of the organisation and that the other institutes are both informed and contributing content partners.

Managing the administrative side of the production of the examination papers, working alongside the Chief Examiner. 

Involvement in examination procedures for institute as required and the provision of clear advice, guidance and help to members of staff involved in the process when needed.

Co-ordinating and ensuring the production and distribution of accurate and timely exam candidate notification emails and results emails and letters. Performing checks and corrections on these documents.

Responsible for processing and tracking progress on requests for marks breakdowns and re-checks post exam session for the examination.

Managing and developing the Education Assistant and their workflow, for example, overseeing the distribution of registrations and email enquiries. Providing direction and support to temporary staff as required.

Extracting data in relation to registrations, exemptions and exam entry for the and internal use.

Assisting the Education Team with the usage of the Dynamics 365 system, alongside attempting to resolve any errors that may occur.

To ensure student registration service standards are met and that the efficiency of the processes used and quality of the registration service students receive is continuously reviewed and improved in conjunction with the wider team and line manager.  Responding to queries from overseas students as to whether they are eligible for the qualification.

Assisting with the registration of institute students, Joint Programme students, Joint Programme students, Pathway and students (including data entry) and the awarding of exemptions and refunds (where applicable).

Assisting and advising the Education Assistant with regard to Professional Conduct cases and liaising with the Director of Education if necessary.

Overseeing the administration of the EU applications including liaising with the Professional Qualifications Sub-Committee in regard to application considerations and the delivery of service standards and expectations set by the Director of Education.

 

Oversee the Exam Focus and Skills Days including liaising with Tutorial Bodies with regard to organising and planning for the webinar and classroom sessions.

Ensuring the production and distribution of information to the students in regard to the days before and after the sessions have taken place.

Being the first point of contact for a Big Four firm and a mid-tier firm with regard to student registration and examination queries ensuring a supportive service representative of the organisation is provided.

Responding to telephone, written and email enquiries from students, potential students and examiners.

Knowledge of Computer Based Examination queries working alongside the Student Services Officer.
