Basic Salary £37,500 plus benefits

Permanent, Full Time


Our client a nationally recognised membership body with 13,000 volunteers and 2,200 organisations as members is currently recruiting for a Membership Engagement Manager.


The Role


The purpose of Membership Engagement Manager is to play a lead role in delivering the membership body’s strategic objectives for engagement and inclusion through their focus on external engagement and young professionals. T


The membership body needs to develop their relationship with current and potential new members and key stakeholder organizations and networks to ensure that our members community is diverse and sustainable and that we are providing maximum benefit to those individuals and organizations involved in development.


In addition, we want to raise the profile of the membership body and the benefits of getting involved with development through outreach, events, recruitment campaigns, etc. The Membership Engagement Manager will play a lead role in helping us to achieve these objectives.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities



Established networking / relationship development skills with diverse stakeholders / volunteers / organizations

Excellent communication skills

Experience developing and delivering stakeholder engagement programmes / activities

Ability to problem-solve and identify and deliver improvements

Self-motivation and ability to achieve objectives independently as needed/applicable

Excellent organization and prioritization skills

Collaboration and team-working skills

Working across multiple / diverse internal stakeholder groups or teams / departments

Competent working with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. on a PC



Experience working with stakeholders / volunteers who are technical subject-matter experts

Experience working on YP and/or EDI programmes for volunteers / members

Experience with member / stakeholder communications and outreach campaigns

Experience delivering change as part of a team

Ability to influence others / develop allies
