My client a well established and leading membership body is currently searching for a Membership Coordinator for their Central London office.
The role is to provide efficient and effective customer and sales support as part of the National membership recruitment and retention team. To process all new membership forms and deal with all member queries relating to their membership.
Identify new sales leads and acquire sources of information that include contact details of businesses or individuals likely to be prospective members.
Develop systems and methodologies for acquiring prospect details from existing members.
Make appointments for Territory Managers.
Deal with members queries relating to their membership.
Follow up returned post and emails.
Assist with the implementation of the lapse management procedures, including establishing personal contact with members to encourage subscription renewal.
Maintain and update membership records on the database liaising with members by telephone, email and post where necessary.
Process all new membership applications and associated financial administration in accordance with procedures.
Work with the finance team to ensure all cheques are banked in accordance with procedures.
Perform all membership re-organisations.
Make personal contact with all new members within five working days, and where appropriate confirm “reason for joining” where not recorded.
Assisting Territory Managers with database queries.
Provision of information to the Sales Director and Territory Managers.
Collation of information from Territory Managers.
Provide administrative support to the Territory Managers.
Preparation of reports for the Sales Manager to enable him / her to monitor Territory Manager performance.
Collating results of sales campaigns and direct marketing/telesales initiatives.
Preparing reports from the database as requested by the Sales Director and Director of Membership and Regions.
Customer Service experience is essential
Administration experience is essential
CRM experience is essential
Inbound and Outbound call experience
Retention or Renewals experience is desirable
Administering Direct Debits is important
Experience working for a membership or subscription organisation is desirable
Experience dealing with all different types of members or customers is desirable
Good IT skills are a must
