The Role of HR Director
Responsible for the leadership, strategy, and performance of the Human Resources (HR) functions.

Person Specification
Essential
Strong academic background and relevant professional qualifications;
FCIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience
Proven HR professional with previous experience of building effective stakeholder relationships;
Experience of having been responsible for implementing strategic change including culture and values;
Strong and effective team player with proven line management skills;
Strong technical HR knowledge and experience, with detailed knowledge and understanding of UK employment law, legislation and HR best practice;
Commercially astute, able to articulate and manage risk effectively;
Proactive and results focused with ability to forward plan for self and team;
Excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail;
Strong verbal communication and influencing skills with an ability to inspire confidence and respect at all levels;
Able to see the ‘big picture’ but also able to focus on the ‘here and now’ and be prepared to flex approach as required;
Prepared to ‘roll sleeves up’ and be operationally hands on until such time as the team is fully functional;
High levels of integrity and discretion.
Desirable
Experience of a legal or professional services environment;
Strong project management and planning skills;
Knowledge of HR systems and interface with other platforms;
Proficient IT skills - able to navigate through Microsoft Office suite of programs, data management systems, and intranet;
Comfortable with social media platforms and able to optimise for business purposes
