Basic Salary Up to £65,000, OTE: £70,000 dependant on experience plus a range of excellent benefits

Hybrid Working – Commutable to Central London

My client a leading and reputable UK trade association within the technology sector is currently recruiting for a Head of Public Affairs


If you are a senior public affairs and policy professional with experience in Technology, Telecommunications, Broadband, Digital, Media, Energy, Gas, Transport or Water regulated industries we love to hear from you.  


The Head of the Public Affairs is responsible for its smooth operation, including ensuring financial support for the work of the body on a not-for-profit basis. You would lead the development of the  work programme and be responsible for identifying, commissioning and launching projects in support of the programme.


As a key leader for the organisation, you would act as a spokesperson to the media, representing the body in policy and public affairs activity such as before Parliamentary committees and speaking at conferences, dinners and wider events.


You would lead the small but dedicated secretariat team including a policy manager.


The position requires the ability to work with a large and diverse selection of external stakeholders, manage work spanning the full range of broadband policy issues, undertake and commission analysis of complex issues coupled by the ability to communicate and promote this analysis clearly and effectively to a broad audience. 


The ability to drive consensus and broker compromise is also key to the role.


The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team and will have an excellent understanding of policy development, public affairs, stakeholder management and regulatory affairs.


Knowledge and experience Telecommunications, Broadband, Digital, Media, Energy, Gas, Transport or Water regulated industries is Essential
