Experience managing a membership sales team is a MUST!

 

My client a leading membership body is looking for a Head of Membership.

 

Key Duties

 

Lead, including setting objectives and completing performance reviews, the membership and awards team of 4

Have primary responsibility for the ownership of Membership, Awards, - and any associated products, collateral, web page content and internal product training;

Have accountability for the development and implementation of initiatives to deliver the agreed plans and the future strategy for both Membership (including UK and International proposition) and Awards and liaise with Programme Office accordingly;

Be accountable for Membership sales and retention and have responsibility for Membership recruitment;

Have responsibility for the sales of Awards

Have accountability for the reporting against Key Performance Indicators for the overall performance of the Membership, Awards, Events and Publications products. 

Working closely with the Membership and Services Delivery Director, develop overall (global) strategies for Membership and Awards products.

Work with Membership and Services Delivery Director to shape and implement global recruitment, retention and engagement strategies for Members, and strategies for the sale and promotion of Awards.

 

Person Specification

 

Essential

 

Management (either directly or indirectly) of a sales function

Strong communication skills – ability to engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders

Strong IT skills (intermediate plus) in Word, and Excel 

Membership and / or Awards services background

Involved in engagement strategy

Proven track record of successful people management 

Experience of implementing and managing new initiatives

Strong budget management skills

Experience of working with teams at all levels of an organisation

 

Desirable

 

Experience of delivery in a B2B commercial environment

Proven sales record

Salesforce and dashboard reporting experience
