Permanent Role, Full Time

Our client a leading, reputable and well regarded Finance Membership Body is currently recruiting for a Head of Member Communities to lead, develop and manage their Finance network programmes and related membership community initiatives.

Job Purpose

To lead, develop and manage the Networks programme and related membership community initiatives in order to enhance member value and drive revenue.

To convene, at senior level, strategic groups of the Finance members with aligned interests centered around policy, regulatory or contemporary topics.

To commercialise the programme to deliver a revenue and margin contribution. This could be in the form of sponsorship, member acquisition and retention, an incubation hub for training, event thematic and /or additional interventions.

To develop broad and upwards relationships with new and existing members to showcase and improve our convening power.

To ensure a seamless and positive delegate experience at and between Network events

To support the Director of Membership and Membership team in the delivery of their objectives – retain, Acquire, Grow.

To identify and implement partnership opportunities to improve content and delivery


Duties and Responsibilities


Lead on the delivery, development and execution of the existing Finance Networks and build them to a marketable brand.

Work with the Associate and Membership teams to secure appropriate and relevant sponsorship.

To understand the challenges facing each cohort and seek to help facilitate an active and engaging forum for debate, community and tangible output.

To gather market knowledge and insight from these member cohorts and feed back into the business.

To build a new Finance Seminar / Network programme intended to convene, commune and deliver value to the business and the member.

To attract potential members and those outside of membership to the membership body brand and offering.

Work with wider Membership, Events and Training team to increase opportunity, member value and achieve the team budget.

Provide accurate reporting of KPIs to include measure of participant satisfaction.

Be an ambassador for Membership of the membership body in the wider business community.

Build effective and informed working relationships within the organization.

To influence change and progression in line with the business plan you will build for this new role.


Knowledge, Experience & Attributes Required


Experience of leading and/or working with communities of Financial Services professionals to understand critical business issues across a wide range of roles (CRO, CTO, MLRO etc.)

Chairing groups and committees

Proactive and strategic in outlook

Ability to use and shape business tools and processes to streamline and deliver results.

Demonstrable expertise in senior level engagement to profitable outcome.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect and influence colleagues and stakeholders.

A positive can-do attitude who is willing to get into the detail to develop practical answers to complex issues

Proven commercial acumen with ability to identify trends and spot opportunities

Proactive, collaborative & diligent
