Staines, West London - 3 Days Office, 2 Days Home with occasional travel

Basic Salary Up to £45,000 dependant on experience plus 25 Days Holiday, Pension, Life Assurance, Income Protection, Lifestyle Benefits

Permanent, Full Time

 

Our client a reputable and well-established accreditation body based in West London is currently recruiting for an External Affairs Advisor.

 

If you have experience in external affairs or public affairs, for similar accreditation body, professional body, not for profit, charity, political, education or training establishment we would love to hear from you.

 

Reporting to the External Affairs Director the role will entail:

 

Supporting in the implementation of the external affairs strategy for raising the awareness and benefits of accreditation with Government departments and agencies, devolved administrations, and other stakeholders

Developing and maintaining public policy intelligence gathering mechanisms for the body

Developing messaging, evidence base and communications material

Following up on potential opportunities resulting from government initiatives

Engaging with external stakeholders on specific projects

Representing in external meetings and events

Organising engagement events for stakeholders

The successful candidate for this role will have first-hand experience of working in or with government or a government agency as well as experience of creating and running campaigns and of gathering intelligence and managing engagement projects.

 

All candidates should have:

 

In-depth knowledge of policy making and government processes with a good understanding of political, economic, societal and technological trends

Good communications and representational skills

Ability to partner with stakeholders

Good organisational skills

Proactive and flexible approach with an ability to work in a rapidly changing landscape
