Membership Body

Home or Office Based in Essex or Hybrid – Fully Flexible

Basic Salary £35,000 Benefits include – 20 days Holiday

Permanent, Full Time


My client a well-established and leading membership body with over 7,000 members in UK and Internationally is currently searching for a Digital Marketing Manager.

The membership body will consider applicants from across the United Kingdom, with to be agreed working arrangements that allow for time in the office environment and time working remotely

The Role

Responsible for driving digital initiatives to support communication, content, and growth strategies of the membership body

To help the Institute maximise the opportunities digital channels present, establishing a consistent voice in its digital communications and working in conjunction with key relationships to deliver content across our website, email, and social communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that membership body’s role as a trusted, independent, and respected Institute is enhanced via its digital presence

Work with Membership Director to develop and deliver an online digital communications strategy that drives traffic to the new membership body website, raising the membership body’s profile within the plumbing and heating industry, and with consumers

Place digital channels at the heart of membership body membership recruitment and retention activities. Work in partnership with Membership Director and Membership Manager to ensure this is achieved effectively, efficiently, and expeditiously

Review, and regularly update membership body website content, providing valuable content and resources

Create and distribute exciting, engaging communications from membership body via regular email and newsletter messaging. Analyse results and adapt based upon data to maximise effectiveness through established digital marketing strategy techniques

Work across all membership body departments to understand key objectives and priorities and establish how they can be distilled into valuable digital content

Lead on the use of membership body social media platforms to raise profile and to signpost content and services available through relationships with the membership body

Work with membership body digital partners and contributors to ensure digital technologies are leveraged to their maximum potential

Help membership body to use digital channels to research, and subsequently provide improvements to membership services, benefits, and content

Provide digital support and training to membership body colleagues


The Person


Previous digital marketing executive or digital marketing manager experience

Experience running the digital channels in similar environment

Experience updating website and social media with engaging content

Good writing skills

Abode experience

CRM Microsoft Dynamics integration advantageous

CMS website experience
