My client a reputable and established professional membership body is currently searching for a Curriculum and Standards Executive.


The Role


Contributing to the development and delivery of the Engagement and Learning directorates' strategic objectives, the Curriculum & Standards Executive is responsible for:

Supporting the Curriculum and Standards Manager with the delivery of the institute’s exam processes

Ensuring the quality of exams through on times and consistent delivery of process, identifying any areas of improvement

Co-ordinating and liaising with subject matter experts and other external suppliers

Supporting the Curriculum & Standards Manager with the delivery of Project 1 of the Learning Change Programme


Principal Accountabilities

To support the Curriculum & Standards Manager with the delivery of the exam papers, ensuring that the process is carried out within the required timeframes and to the set standards.

Liaise with any external providers and internal teams involved in this process and ensure they understand what their responsibilities are and the deadlines they must work to.

Manage the Advisory Panel logistics and documentation including attending the meeting with the Curriculum & Standards Manager to document discussion and decisions.

To support the delivery of Project 1 of the Learning Change Programme including drafting and proofing documentation, preparing reports, working with external stakeholders and undertaking research

To support the Curriculum & Standards Manager with process improvement


Skills, Knowledge and Experience


Knowledge and Experience


Excellent customer care skills including sensitivity to the needs of the customer.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Ability to work in a flexible, proactive way, supporting colleagues across the team as necessary.

Able to maintain high levels of accuracy and a calm, methodical approach while working under sustained pressure at times.

A high standard of organisational skills including the ability to work effectively to achieve tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships at all levels and the ability to seek cooperation from busy colleagues.


Experience within a professional body or higher education provider.

Experience with setting exams

Evidence of commitment to professional development.

Working with volunteers.
